Join an interactive session exploring the Urban Institute’s Upward Mobility Framework — a research-driven model designed to advance upward mobility and racial equity for individuals and communities. This framework offers local leaders a holistic definition of upward mobility and highlights key factors they can influence to expand opportunities for all, particularly those who have been historically excluded from prosperity.
During the workshop, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the framework’s three interconnected dimensions: dignity and belonging, economic success, and power and autonomy. Practical insights and actionable strategies will be shared to help apply these concepts at the local level.
The session will feature speakers from Feeding America and the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative, both of whom are actively using the Upward Mobility Framework to guide programming and policymaking. Their experiences and lessons learned will provide valuable guidance for improving community outcomes and driving lasting change.
